Mobile device requirements

To ensure stable application performance and getting high-quality photo and video, mobile devices must meet the minimum requirements. See the requirements and recommended smartphones below for iOS and Android.

iOS​

Minimum requirements​

  • Camera: at least 12 MP resolution.

  • Geolocation: GPS or GLONASS support for precise route tracking.

  • Internet: internet connection is required only for downloading offline maps and uploading tracks.

  • Sensors: accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer (compass).

  • Storage:

    • To install the application: at least 500 MB.
    • To store captured photos and videos: at least 128 GB. For extended recording, at least 256 GB.

  • Operating system version: iOS 15.0 or later.

  • Processor: A13 Bionic or later.

  • RAM: at least 4 GB.

Devices​

iPhone 11 (A13 Bionic) smartphones or newer.

Android​

Minimum requirements​

  • Camera: at least 12 MP resolution.

  • Geolocation: GPS or GLONASS support for precise route tracking.

  • Internet: internet connection is required only for downloading offline maps and uploading tracks.

  • Sensors: accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer (compass).

  • Storage:

    • To install the application: at least 500 MB.
    • To store captured photos and videos: at least 128 GB. For extended recording, at least 256 GB.

  • Operating system version: Android 10 (API level 29) or later.

  • Processor:

    • Architecture: 2016 or newer devices with arm64-v8a support.
    • Frequency: at least 1.5 GHz.
    • SoC: chipsets manufactured using no more than 8 nm process.

  • RAM:

    • Memory type: LPDDR4X.
    • Size: at least 6 GB.

  • Internal storage:

    • Memory type: UFS 2.2 or later. eMMC is not supported.
    • Write speed: at least 80–100 MB/s.

  • Device settings: to ensure background recording service works correctly, the following must be configured:

    • Battery optimization is disabled.
    • Automatic memory cleaning is disabled.
    • All background activity restrictions are removed.
    • Application autostart is allowed.

  • Device permissions: application must have access to the following:

    • Camera (CAMERA): to take photos and record videos.
    • Precise data on device geolocation (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION): to track the route and to bind photos and videos to geocoordinates.
    • Background geolocation tracking (ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION).
    • Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): for audio recording if needed.

For improved application performance and extended recording, it is recommended to use devices that meet the following requirements:

  • Processor:

    • Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 or later.
    • MediaTek Dimensity 8100 or later.
    • Samsung Exynos 990 or later.

  • RAM:

    • Memory type: LPDDR5.
    • Size: at least 8 GB.

  • Image signal processor: must be optimized for burst shooting and high-quality post-processing. Frame processing delay must be less than 100 ms. Qualcomm Spectra is recommended.

  • GPU: must support OpenGL ES 3.1 or later for map rendering. Qualcomm Adreno is recommended.

  • Camera:

    • Support for video recording at 720p (1280×720) and 1080p (1920×1080).
    • Focus control: lock, manual point selection, hyperfocal (infinity) support.
    • Exposure: range of -2.0 to +2.0 EV.
    • Burst mode: recording with up to 5 frames per second without drops.
    • Stabilization: support for optical (OIS) and electronic (EIS) stabilization.

  • Device permissions: for improved data accuracy via environment scanning, the application must have access to the following:

    • Wi-Fi state (ACCESS_WIFI_STATE / CHANGE_WIFI_STATE): to scan nearby Wi-Fi networks for location refinement.
    • Bluetooth (BLUETOOTH_SCAN / BLUETOOTH_CONNECT): to scan for nearby Bluetooth devices and collect additional location data.

Devices​

  • Smartphones of Samsung Galaxy S series: S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Lite, S25 FE, or newer.
  • Smartphones of Samsung Galaxy A series: A54, A55, A56, A57, or newer.
