Overview

2GIS Logistics is a solution for route planning based on the TSP API. It automatically calculates the optimal order of visiting points and distributes tasks between agents (e.g., mobile employees or vehicles) to minimize the number of agents, total time, and distance. For more information on the route calculation algorithm, see the Route calculation algorithm section.

The service can be used in various industries: food delivery, courier service, taxi, and others.

Main features

  • Reduced logistics costs

Helps to reduce route planning time, automate logistics work, and apply changes to a route plan during operation.

  • Processing large amounts of data

You can specify up to 350 tasks and 200 agents for calculating one route plan. After calculation, each employee receives an optimal route.

  • Additional parameters

You can specify additional parameters for calculating route plans: time windows for visiting points, agent skills required for task completion, vehicle type, route optimization method, and others.

Solution options

The solution is available in multiple versions, depending on business needs:

  • Only a routing algorithm based on the TSP API for creating the shortest routes in time or distance to pass through the points. You can integrate the API into your route planning and task distribution system.

  • Complete solution with an interface, including:

    • A web panel for administrators that allows them to specify points to visit, tasks, and agents. Route plans are calculated automatically using the TSP API algorithm.
    • A mobile application for employees that helps them to navigate on the map, view the task list, and use a navigator to build a route.
2GIS Logistics

To monitor the location of employees and vehicles in real time, use the 2GIS GeoFlow solution along with the 2GIS Logistics. In the common web panel, administrators will be able to monitor agents and plan shifts.

Technical requirements

For the effective operation of the system, the devices used with the 2GIS Logistics tools must meet the following requirements:

  • Administrator web panel. Recommended device specifications for working with the web panel:

    • Processor: at least 4 cores with 2 GHz frequency.
    • RAM: at least 8 GB.
    • Operating system: Windows 11, macOS 13 Ventura, or the latest version of Linux.
    • Browser: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari.
    • Screen resolution: FullHD (1920×1080 pixels).
    • Stable Internet connection.
  • Employee mobile application. To install the mobile application, a mobile device running Android 10 (API level 29) or later is required.

  • Employee tracker (if the 2GIS GeoFlow solution is used). The tracker must include a GLONASS/GPS receiver with the EGTS data transmission protocol.
