License expiration

A license key has a validity period during which the On-Premise software suite can be used. Once the license expires, the service stops working.

warning

2GIS Pro services do not have a soft block stage: there is no warning about the upcoming license expiration. The services are blocked immediately after the license expires. You can view the list of licenses and their expiration dates in the Platform Manager: see the Viewing licenses section.

2GIS Pro behavior upon license expiration

  • API requests return the HTTP code 200, but the logs show a message about the request being rejected:

[13:11:17 ERR] HTTP GET /license responded 500 in 6885.0271 ms
System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: The SSL connection could not be established, see inner exception.
---> System.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationException: The remote certificate is invalid due to errors in the certificate chain: NotTimeValid
  • The web interface becomes unavailable.

Actions when license expires

  1. Contact your 2GIS manager to renew your license.

  2. Get a new license using the DGCLI utility. For details, see the Get license section.

  3. Make sure that the new license is active. For details, see the Check license status section.
