On-Premise License service

The license service provides access to other On-Premise services.

A license is required to use On-Premise services. To obtain a license, use the DGCLI in the license mode.

The license is generated on the On-Premise servers and then recorded in an S3 compatible storage or file system. Afterward, internet access is not required for further operation - the License service reads the license from the selected storage.

The license service checks:

• availability and validity of the license
• whether the purchased license enables working with a particular service of the software package
• the license expiration date
