Operations with data

On the Data tab you can manage available datasets:

• upload, rename, and delete datasets
• add and change dataset descriptions
• create groups and move datasets between them

These additional features are designed to give the data a more ordered look and facilitate navigation in them.

To start managing the data, click All datasets on the start page or go to the Data tab. You will see a list of all available datasets, both prepared and uploaded by you.

Note

If you do not have permission to upload data, you will only have access to prepared data. You cannot add datasets, but you can create groups.

Operations with a dataset

Uploading a dataset

Click Upload data on the Main or Data tab. A description of the further steps is given in the Uploaded data document.

Renaming a dataset

This operation is available only for uploaded datasets.

1. Click the icon in the card of the necessary dataset and select Rename.
2. Enter a new name for the dataset and click Rename.

Editing a description of a dataset

This operation is available only for uploaded datasets.

1. Click the icon in the card of the necessary dataset and select Edit description.
2. Fill in or edit the Description field (there is a 200 characters limit) and click Save.

If the description is too long, only its abstract will be displayed by default. Hover the cursor over the abstract to see the full description.

Moving a dataset to another group

This operation is available only for uploaded datasets.

1. Click the icon in the card of the necessary dataset and select Move.
2. Select group from the Add to group drop-down list and click Move. After that, a dataset will be displayed in the selected group.

Creating a filter by territory

This operation is available only for uploaded datasets.

If your uploaded data contains geometries on the polygon type, you can use it to filter other data by these polygons. Click the icon in the card of the necessary dataset and select Create a filter by territory.

Now when you create layers, you can select the uploaded dataset from a list in the Territories field.

Deleting a filter by territory

This operation is available only for uploaded datasets.

1. Click the icon in the card of the necessary dataset and select Remove a filter by territory.
2. Click Delete.

Deleting a dataset

This operation is available only for uploaded datasets.

1. Click the icon in the card of the necessary dataset and select Delete.
2. Click Delete to remove a dataset.

Operations with a group of datasets

Creating a group

1. Click Create group on the Data tab.
2. Enter a name of a new group and click Create a dataset group.

New empty group appears inside the tab.

Renaming a group

This operation is available only for groups created by you.

1. Click the icon next to the necessary dataset group and select Rename.
2. Enter a new dataset group name and click the button.

Deleting a group

This operation is available only for groups created by you.

1. Click the icon next to the necessary dataset group and select Delete.
2. Click Delete to remove the group and all the contained datasets.
